SERVICES

Although we mainly focus on adoptions, we strive to help make a difference for the animals in our community. Below are the services that we currently offer.

Adoptions

You can view all of our adoptable animals here. All of our animals are fixed, up to date on shots,  FIV/FeLV tested(cats), Heartworm tested (dogs) and microchipped.

Adoption fees are listed on the adoptable animals page. If you are interested in meeting an animal, please fill out the adoption application.

Pet Retention

There are many resources out there if you are considering surrendering your pet. When difficult circumstances arise, we encourage you to research every avenue possible before surrendering your furry family member. We try our hardest to help keep animals in their home and prevent them from entering the rehoming system, which can be damaging to pets and take up space for other animals that need it. There is also a possibility that if your pet enters your local shelter, they may be euthanized. Please check out our resources page and contact us if we can answer any questions/give you any ideas on ways to keep your pet in your home.
If you are facing financial issues & need temporary assitance with food or other supplies and have not been able to recieve assistance from the organizations on the resources page, please contact us at info@demisanimalrescue.com – although we are not able to help in every situation, if we have the resources available to help at the time, we will discuss that with you.

If you feel you absolutely must surrender your pet, we accept owner surrenders on a case by case basis and based on space available. There may be fees associated. Please email us at info@demisanimalrescue.com with information and a photo on your pet, as well as why you are needing to rehome. Please also check out our rehoming resources on the resources page

Spay & Neuter Events

In addition to providing adoption services for the community, we have launched a number of free spay and neuter/vaccination events within the past two years.

Our annual event is a free spay and neuter clinic for the homeless. We pair up with Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to bring free spay and neuter, vaccinations, pet food, ID tags, collars and leashes and basic treatments to pets of Denver’s homeless population. This is an event we are trying to grow and provide to our local community who is always so grateful to get imperative care for their pets.

We have also started hosting small spay and neuter/vaccination clinics with our veterinary partner, Brekke Veterinary Clinic
